When I want to thank somebody for something special I always hand write a letter because I think it deserves it. Now I’ll be even prouder to put a stamp on it, with the announcement that my image will feature on a postage stamp as part of the 2014 Australia Post Legends of Cooking.

According to Australia Post, the Legends of Cooking have been recognised for their influence over Australia’s food culture and visionary role each have played in  shaping Australia’s palate and laying the foundations of our gastronomic success.

I’m in marvellous company, along with culinary greats Margaret Fulton, Maggie Beer, Neil Perry and Kylie Kwong.

The 60c stamps will be available from today at participating Australia Post retail outlets or online at auspost.com.au/stamps.
