I hope that everyone has benefited from more leisure time now that we have welcomed the New Year. My slower routine includes a walk before breakfast, (alongside a river or an ocean for preference) before the sun is too hot. A long breakfast, an even longer linger over the day’s news – paper or digital – sometimes one sometimes the other, and frequently I feel an overwhelming desire for a post-breakfast nap. And the days when I do sleep again I wake with a sense of springs unwinding, muscles relaxing, new hips at ease.
Time for a new book and the couch.
